POSITION DESCRIPTION

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (Corporate Position) Location : Mumbai

We are looking for a COO position based at Mumbai , The person should be from Packaging Industry (either Corrugation /Flexible or Rigid packaging) presently working in similar capacity having responsibility of multiple manufacturing units. Educational Qualification A Graduate in Engineering/ Manufacturing discipline or equivalent with Master in Operation Management.

The job entails managing entire Operations, Supply-Chain including P & L of all the business units. Will be responsible for enhancing Quality Management System, Operational Excellence and Cost Reduction projects. Will be conceptualizing and implementing strategies for improving operational efficiencies at all level. Should be driving the company’s operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention and company goals. Assessing and implementing improved process and new technologies and collaborating with management regarding the implementation of these improvements. The concerned person should be taking the lead in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.). Analyse and interpret data and metrics-create reports for the management review. Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills. Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the Manufacturing function to ensure that all functions/projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards. Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritised and facilitated. Direct and drive implementation of Lean Business strategy and drive Continuous Improvement across all manufacturing related areas of the business. In conjunction with the Management to ensure all external maintenance contracts are regularly reviewed to ensure best value.

People Management :-

Work with the Manufacturing team to translate site strategy into specific annual performance goals (OKR’s) and departmental objectives including KPIs, and to track them . Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance. Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements .

Financial and Budget Management:

Input and hold responsibility for manufacturing budgets. Prepare the annual Manufacturing budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal standards. Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects/expansions.
